Gender, AIDS and Crisis Prevention and Recovery: On behalf of the United Nations Development Program’s Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery (UNDP/BCPR), the SSRC is currently in the planning phase of creating a new global initiative to support research and learning in the field of gender and CPR, including the creation of an "Information and Knowledge Center." This project is based on the findings of an SSRC gender review of the UNDP/BCPR programs worldwide and which assessed priorities in the field of gender and CPR with respect to: HIV/AIDS, justice and security sector reform, small arms reduction, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration, conflict prevention, mine action, transitional recovery and natural disaster reduction.
