POLICY RESEARCH IN AFRICA
2006-2007 SSRC Reseach Fellowship Recipients
The Social Science Research Council awarded eight fellowships in 2006-2007 to African researchers for improving HIV/AIDS and public health policy responses to HIV/AIDS related sexual violence and care-giving. Eleven fellows, representing five countries most affected by HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa, were selected from more than 140 applications. Funding for this program is generously provided by the Open Society Institute’s Network Public Health Program.
