Workshop on Terrorism
Published on: Jan 04, 2004

On November 14-15, 2002 the second workshop in the SSRC-GSC Series on International Law and International Relations was held at the SSRC offices in Washington, DC. The workshop brought together a diverse range of scholars, policy makers and practitioners who presented prepared papers covering different aspects of the "war on terrorism." The "war on terrorism" has redefined US foreign policy, as well as relations between Europe, the United States, and much of the rest of the world. Virtually every aspect of this "war" has significant legal dimensions, just as it does for international relations. The workshop examined several of these key aspects, regarding them as problems of international law and international relations, attempting to parse the interaction between law and global politics.
