Playing Holi with Krishna

This photograph was taken at the most important temple in Vrindavan, a Hindu pilgrimage town in north India, during Holi (the spring festival of colors). Considering their god to be alive, devotees come from across the country to play Holi with Krishna on this day. The air becomes heavy with color as they offer aabir (a powder-like colored substance) to their beloved god.
