Laura Bowman: Currently, in her final year in the J.D. Program at Georgetown University Law Center, Laura Bowman has been working as a consultant to the Social Science Research Council where she has been researching the terrorism and anti-terrorism cases litigated by the Department of Justice since 9/11. While pursuing her J.D., Laura has also clerked for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on the Constitution, chaired by Senator Russell D. Feingold, and worked as a summer associate for Coudert Brothers.

Prior to her matriculation at Georgetown, Laura was Deputy Chief of Staff of the International Commission on Missing Persons in Sarajevo, Bosnia and, later, Chief of the Missing Persons Activities Team for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe - Mission in Kosovo. At both organizations, she worked to establish innovative programs and forge new institutional partnerships that contributed to the resolution of cases of those persons who disappeared as a result of the conflicts in the former Yugoslavia.

Before working in the Balkans, Laura worked as Special Assistant to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Madeleine K. Albright. In this position, she focused on war crimes, humanitarian assistance and peacekeeping issues.

She graduated with a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado.
