International politics is no longer limited to states and governments. Corporate power is increasingly global in reach, as is are transnational civil society organizations (TCSOs), who have come to play important roles in local, regional and global politics. This growth has been facilitated by and--some would argue--conditioned on the development of new information and communication technologies, which have lowered the cost of coordinating activities across national borders, and made possible certain kinds of global public accountability that were unimaginable in the 1960s. These relationships were a primary focus of the ITIC program between 2002 and 2005. This page collects the primary documents produced during that collective discussion among researchers, pratitioners, and activists.
