Social Science Research Council

Building on the SSRC’s work in the design of interdisciplinary and collaborative research programs and organizations, this initiative evaluates the collaborative activities of scientists working in a large national laboratory following an internal reorganization. It entails working with the laboratory to design and implement an analysis that will help the scientists and the science managers assess the impact of the reorganization on the center's scientific research practices, processes, and products. This analysis will help enable the laboratory to function as a truly collaborative community uniquely positioned to understand the interconnected processes that make up the Earth system.
