Southeast Asia

The Southeast Asia Program of the Social Science Research Council seeks to promote international scholarly collaboration on Southeast Asian regional studies, to help improve the conditions for scholarly research within and related to the region, to develop region-wide research planning activities (including conferences and publications), to support interdisciplinary post-graduate training on Southeast Asia whenever possible, and to help integrate Southeast Asian scholarship into international scholarly networks of knowledge production.

At the core of the Southeast Asia Program is a long-term effort to develop research training with Vietnamese social scientists.
